I recently heard a statistic that up to 70% of every incoming class of Bowdoin students considers themselves to be pre-med. Yet, only 8-10 students apply each year as seniors (and another 40 apply each year as recent alums). What does this attrition mean – and how will you sort out what’s right for you?
I’ve learned that the BEST thing that you can possibly do for yourself, as you weigh out your options for the future (no matter what your field), is to listen to the advice of experts who have gone before you. That said, I highly encourage you to come to this panel if you’re considering medical school.
Want to know what it is like to be a doctor? A medical student? Can you do research with an MD? What can you do at Bowdoin to help yourself prepare? What is a DMD anyways? Join six polar bears for a conversation about their careers in medicine.
Peruse the brief version of their bios below, and see Sarah Paul or Seth Ramus for photos and more detailed information about the above panelists as you prepare for this event.
