Intern this FALL with the Bowdoin Investments Office

Are you looking for a finance-oriented on-campus internship experience this fall?  The Bowdoin Investments Office is pleased to offer an internship opportunity for an analytical, computer-literate student to provide office support as well as financial analysis on special projects.  This opportunity is open to first-year and sophomore students and is likely to transition into a summer internship with the Bowdoin Investments Office!

Characteristic duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Maintain up-to-date information on the Endowment’s investment managers;
2. Become proficient in the analytical tools used in the Investments office;
3. Develop recurring and ad hoc investment reports; and
4. Strict confidentiality and attention to detail is a must.

Computer proficiency is required, including understanding of spreadsheets, financial formulas, and word processing. Excel and Word are used extensively. Ability to follow instructions, acute attention to detail, self-motivation and the ability to work in an unsupervised capacity are all very desirable. Must be comfortable sitting in one position for long periods of time, continually viewing and typing on a computer. A formal commitment to strict confidentiality is also required.

Please note that this opportunity has the potential to extend into the summer of 2014 as a full-time campus internship position. First-years, sophomores are encouraged to apply.
